Taiyo Nippon Sanso, Japan

Since its foundation in 1910, Taiyo Nippon Sanso has been a leading player in the Japanese gas industry.Today, as the country’s largest industrial gas producer, Nippon Sanso has extended its activities to a number of industries, for example in plant construction, semiconductor technology and a number of specialized medical areas. Since 1st October 2004, as the merger between Nippon Sanso and Taiyo Toyo Sanso took place, the new organisation operates under the name Taiyo Nippon Sanso.

Taiyo Nippon Sanso is also engaged in cryogenics and vacuum applications, typical products being helium liquefiers and space simulation chambers. In collaboration with Linde Kryotechnik AG, Taiyo Nippon Sanso has developed a variety of refrigeration systems for cryogenic centres at universities and national research institutes, as well as bulk helium liquefiers for deployment in government projects. The largest helium refrigerator in Japan at National Institute of Fusion Science was delivered by Taiyo Nippon Sanso with seven gas bearing turbines of Linde Kryotechnik AG.
